According to latest statistics, Mugla is the leading Turkey in terms of foreigners either residing or owning a house in the city. The majority of the properties owned by Greek citizens are located in Istanbul and Bursa. In both cities, the number of properties owned by the Greeks are far more than the number of properties owned by the citizens of the rest of the world.

 

Currently, in Turkey, approximately 73,000 foreigners own 38,419,151 square meters of real estate. Mugla is the leading city with 4,445,258 sqm of real estate owned by foreigners followed by 3,001,075 sqm in Antalya.

 

 

If we study the numbers in terms of number of individiauls rather than square meters, Antalya is home to more foreigners than any other city with 26,031 foreign landlords. Mugla follows Antalya with 12,865 foreign landlords and Istanbul takes the third place with 8,830 individual owners.

 

 

Agri, Bitlis, Hakkari, Mus, Siirt, Urfa, Sirnak, Ardahan and Igdir are Turkish cities that currently have none foreign homeowners in the city limits. While German citizens own the highest number of properties in Antalya, British own the majority of the foreign owned properties in Mugla.
