Leading German Fast-Food Chain Kochloffel to Enter Turkish Market |

Kochloffel, a leading German roasted chicken oriented fast-food chain decided to enter the Turkish market due to extensive demand from Turks living in Germany. Wolfgang Kaiser, the president of Kochloffel, announced that the first store in Turkey will opened by this summer.
Kochloffel will the first German fast food chain to enter the Turkish market. Kochloffel's plans include 10 retail stores during the first year of operations and reach a total of 50 stores within 5 years. Kochloffel has been active in Germany for over 45 years. Kochloffel plans to extend its number of stores by mostly being based in the leading shopping centers. Kochloffel is still in negotiations with Turkish companies that are interested in being the master franchise in the market. The company is primarily planning to enter Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Antalya markets. The gross sales expectation for each of stores is around 500,000 euros annualy. Kochloffel currently owns 100 stores in Germany with a total gross sales of 45 million over the past year. Kaiser also added that there is a substantial amount of American style fast food chains in the Turkish market and the fast-food demand is divided between these chains and traditional food sold in fast-food style resaurants. Kochloffel plans to be strategically located right between these two different market segments and target both consumer groups.
