Praktiker opening its 4th store in Bayrampasa is planning to increase its revenue to 100 million euros by implementing its “do-it-yourself” training for its customers.
Opening its first store in Ankara back in 1998, Germany based Praktiker has 10 stores in 6 different cities in Turkey. Praktiker’s revenue for the past year was 92.4 million euros. Praktiker, in partnership with its vendors, will open training sessions for many different concepts like wood painting, decoration, etc. The company will modify the program according to the demand from the clients. Frank Bednar, the director of operations in Turkey said that “Praktiker differentiates itself from the competition by implementing the DIY concept. Goods that we provide training for quickly increase in sales volume. The consumers prefer to buy goods that they know how to use. Praktiker plans to reach a total of 29 stores in Turkey by opening 3 stores each year.
